Western Bluegrass Rail Terminal July 22, 2009 Jim Pearson No Comments Bill Thomas Photographer and editor’s son, Liam, waits for his dad to get done playing around. Forklift operator Troy Messamore of Hamby Construction, Dawson Springs, KY, carefully places the cargo aboard the waiting flat. John Licht (pronounced “light”) prepares for the next bundle of lumber to be loaded on this center-beam flat car at Madisonville’s industrial park, July 2009. John’s company, Western Bluegrass Rail Terminal, gathers local materials for bulk shipment to and from the Madisonville area. This particular car of lumber, trucked from a local saw mill, is bound for Canada. CSX picked it up early last week. (Photos by Bill Thomas) Post navigation ← previous postNext Post →
