Earlier this year, Union City, TN native Brent Lee realized his dream of returning home to manage and operate Tennessee’s newest shortline railroad, the Union City Terminal. Operating on a small section of the former Gulf, Mobile & Ohio mainline between Union City and Rives, the UCT utilizes two HLCX GP38-2 locomotives in a paint scheme that is reminiscent of GM&O’s red-and-white paint scheme from the 1960s and 1970s.
