A Pioneering Paducahbuilt – Illinois Central’s Paducah-built GP8s symbolize the classic power used on the entire system in the 1970s and 1980s. Today, it’s a rare treat to still find these locomotives at work. What’s even better, is when they are operating on former Illinois Central trackage. On 04-Jul-2017, former Illinois Central 7719, now Pioneer 805, awaits the call of duty at Corinth, MS for Pioneer Railcorp’s Redmont Railroad.
